Well, it's about time!

HOORAY!!! So I finally got my computer running along with some free time to majorly update things here. Sorry for the delay. I missed updating you as much as you may (or may not have) missed reading about what's going on. Let me just say thanks for the encouraging posts you leave, and also for those of you who tell my mom about reading the blog. I get to hear all those comments, which, in part, drives me to continue on in more detail about how God is at work in this wonderful experience.

Now I'll begin back with week 5. I won't go into great detail, since I've already filled you in below, but visual aid to go along with the stories will bring you closer to me and my experiences at the time. Plus we were in the village of Pompeiia, which was my favorite, and I want to share that with you as much as possible.

Let's travel back....

Here are a couple of ladies from the Baltimore group learning to cook the way the Mexican sisters do. We had a ladies' meeting with them later on and I translated a devotional, we sang some hymns, and shared our lives with each other.

Peeking into Sister Rosie's kitchen.

Molcajete... for making salsa... you better believe I bought one! You're all gonna be wanting to try my authentic Mexican style salsa, I know :-)

Joanne, Megan, and I in front of this amazing view of the Pompeiian sun peeking out from the clouds to set the mountains on fire.

Some cacti in bloom, backed by the breathtaking mountains and small pueblo of Pompeiia below.

So we went to Real de Catorce again for our free day, and I met the Pirate! Yeah! He's from Pirates of the Caribbean, for real!

Coloring masks with the kids... you're never too old :-)

So adorable!

Picture of the lifetstyle... this little girl was hauling two buckets of water into her home for her family.

Cowboy.. another view of the life in Pompeiia. He was just chillin on his horse, taking a look at the mountains.

Some of the children in this village that I played with for a couple of days.

We went on Friday to Mier y Noriega... this was new for Dayspring, as they've only been there once, and we played volleyball & basketball, then had a service. The crowd wasn't as large as we'd hoped due to 2 quinceaneras at the Catholic church across the street (everyone was attending that) but we still had one salvation at the end of the service... Praise God!

This is the outdoor service we had in the town plaza.

Sister Emma and her daughter Adriana... Emma helps run Tom & Laura's Christian bookstore, and she is a new Christian! She's full of joy and is super-friendly, and her daughter is tan linda! (so cute ;-) )
